NQ-Lab is the ‘all inclusive’ toolbox for realtime QoS Measurement of Speech, Data and Video. NQ-Lab is a particularly sophisticated test instrument intended for R&D applications and capable of “triple play” measurements with detailed analysis of speech, data and video.

The NQ-Lab system is an integrated analysis tool providing a variety of features for data ad­ministration, filtering, analysis, and generation of reports and statistics. NQ-Lab provides the engineer with the detailed analytical and diagnostic capa­bilities required to determine the root causes of any service degradation as well as providing an overview on the total network performance. NQ-Lab contains Assessment Algorithms for Voice, Data and Video. The system is designed to support PSTN and mobile calls within the same unit, or using external/public sources like voice answering machines, web and video servers, etc. A large number of tests can be performed using NQ-Lab, such as Mobile to PSTN; echo passive to any number, listening quality of the received voice; access tests; data tests; video streaming; and various sending, receiving tests.

The instrument contains both PSTN and ISDN connectors, uses USB, LAN, and a PCMCIA interface and operates in a Windows XP environment. NQLAB can be supplemented with additional software.
