NETQUAL Monitoring System

NetQual is a suite of QoS systems for testing, monitoring and analysis of quality of service on packet and circuit switched networks. NetQual is fully transparent to the network technology in use and provides accurate end-to-end Speech, Data and Video testing capability on both fixed and mobile networks. This central server based solution uses distributed probes to collect data and stores it in it’s central database for retrieval, assessment and reporting.

Thanks to its modular and flexible architecture, NetQual is the optimal solution for network-wide monitoring as well as point-to-point analysis. Via the remote controllable user interface, tests can be defined and activated directly from each of its measurement probes. These probes also offer non-intrusive speech quality assessment allowing the quality of any transmitted speech signal to be measured on a live connection.

NetQual is a “triple play” solution that supports both automated and direct user controlled point-to-point measurements for Speech, Data and Video. With data test options such as HTTP, FTP, UDP, Email, SMS and MMS, NetQual supports testing of Internet/Intranet service accessibility and performance at both static and mobile locations. While it’s capability to handle Multimedia (video streaming and video telephony) allows quality assessment (MOS values) combined with information such as block distortion, blurring, edge busyness, jerkiness, noise and video/audio synchronization.

True End-to-End quality assessment is provided through NetQual’s IP, PSTN and ISDN (PRI & BRI) interface capabilities as well as connectivity to 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile terminals thus enabling true end-to-end measurement covering all possible combination of networks and technology. Thanks to its flexible interfacing capabilities, including the use of commercial mobile and IP terminals, NetQual is able to assess the true quality from the perspective of the end-users.
