NQ-Lab

NQ-Lab is the 'all inclusive' toolbox for realtime QoS Measurement of Speech, Data and Video. NQ-Lab is a particularly sophisticated test instrument intended for R&D applications and capable of "triple play" measurements with detailed analysis of speech, data and video.

The NQ-Lab system is an integrated analysis tool providing a variety of features for data administration, filtering, analysis, and generation of reports and statistics. NQ-Lab provides the engineer with the detailed analytical and diagnostic capabilities required to determine the root causes of any service degradation as well as providing an overview on the total network performance.

NQ-Lab contains Assessment Algorithms for Voice, Data and Video. The system is designed to support PSTN and mobile calls within the same unit, or using external/public sources like voice answering machines, web and video servers, etc.

A large number of tests can be performed using NQ-Lab, such as Mobile to PSTN; echo passive to any number, listening quality of the received voice; access tests; data tests; video streaming; and various sending, receiving tests.

NQ-Lab can make triple-play measurements with Quality Assessment Algorithms for Voice, Data and Video. The system is designed for mobile to PSTN calls within the same unit, or using external/public sources like voice answering machines, web and video servers.

The flexible SQL based analysis tool integrated into NQ-Lab provides a variety of features for data administration, ?ltering, analysis, and generation of reports and statistics. Giving the engineer detailed analytical and diagnostic capabilities required to determine the root causes of any service degradation as well as providing an overview on the total network performance.

 
Multiple test configurations

With NQ-Lab the user can easily test and verify the quality delivered by a multitude of interconnect possibilities. By means of configuring NQ-Lab with a Mobile Terminal and with PSTN or IP interface, calls can automatically be generated between the mobile and fixed network environments.

 
Multiple test types

A wide range of tests are supported enabling true assessment of the end-to-end quality. Measurements can be combined and executed within each call. Furthermore, tests can be scheduled and executed using different phone numbers thus enabling benchmarking of multiple carriers/routings. Available test types include:
